Cottage Pizza Party:
One-Time Gift of $50
A pizza dinner is a treat for the children who live at Hillview Acres—as well as an appreciated “cooking break” for our staff! Your pizza party gift will be a hit with everyone!
Small Cottage Outing:
One-Time Gift of $75
Recreation is an important part of Hillview’s therapeutic approach. Activities like bowling, ice skating, or a trip to the movies give our children opportunities to make happy childhood memories and also set the stage for relationship building with our staff. Your gift of one special outing is enough to make a lasting impact on the lives of our children.
Large Cottage Outing:
One-Time Gift of $750
The average age among our children is 11 years old. Though most Southern California children have been to an amusement park by the time they reach this age, many of those who live at Hillview have missed out on this childhood experience. Your generous gift will give these children a day of fun and a memory that will last a lifetime.
Nourish Sponsorship: Help Cover a Child’s Food Costs
$1,800 per year ($150 per month)
Children come to us broken: mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Many times even their basic needs of food, clothing, and shelter have not been met. In helping Hillview cover a child’s food expenses, you are assisting us in providing a vital stepping stone on a child’s road to healing.
Cottage Comfort Sponsorship: Improve a Cottage
One-Time Gift of $50-$1,000
We strive to create a warm, comfortable environment on our campus—but we cannot do this alone. Your contribution towards an appliance or cottage furniture helps our children continue to feel at-home.
Clothing Sponsorship: Help Cover a Child’s Clothing Expenses
$500 a year ($41.67 per month)
Some counties’ Social Services divisions provide an average of $170 annually for each child for clothes. With changing seasons and children’s growing bodies, it is difficult to make that amount stretch for an entire year. New clothes are not just practical; they also contribute to a child’s sense of self-esteem. In increasing a child’s yearly clothing budget, you are helping us to ensure that each child has the necessities–and the dignity—that they deserve.
Equip Sponsorship: Lease a Van
$6,500 a year ($541.67 per month)
Each cottage is equipped with two vans for the children’s transportation. This creates maximum flexibility and allows an entire cottage to travel together as a group during off-campus activities. Your generous contribution would cover a van’s lease for an entire year.
